Also included with Mario Kart Wii is the Wii Wheel! Now you can feel like your Mario and steering to avoid obstacles and doing incredible stunts – in the safety of your home of course.

Some of the great things that immediately jump out at you with the new release of the Mario Kart Wii are that there are a huge number of courses that are both imaginative and challenging making this game a definite buy for all.

A terribly contagious virus called Mario Kart and who do you let go once it has grabbed you. On screen, the start is given on a course which, from the first few seconds, took on the appearance of Apocalypse. Precisely because the series defies logic that it attracts all types of players, whatever their age and experience. Mario Kart Wii is no exception to the rule, rather the contrary. And steering wheel that accompanies it is just there to finally convince the hesitant buyer that must not ignore this.

Released not too long before the holidays 2008, this game was the hottest-seller of all the Wii Games for Kids.  And – not too much of a surprise, it’s loaded with fun, and is receiving reports that it’s one of the most “kid friendly” Wii games available.

Mario Kart for the Wii is unlike any other game we’ve seen before. It’s jam packed full of features and new controller configurations. Wii Mario Kart supports 5 different controller configurations, including using just simply the Wii mote or the game cube controller.

Mario Kart’s big event is the Grand Prix mode which pits player against 11 other computerized competitors running a race that covers four-courses to get to the finish. With Grand Prix, you select three different engine sizes and difficulty settings.

Mario Kart Wii has support for just about every controller configuration there is on the market today. The game comes with a steering wheel controller shell that gives you complete advantage of the motion-sensing capabilities and it’s considered that the purely tilt-driven control is the best. The Super Mario Brothers game hit the market back in 1992.

Mario Kart has it all. You can play up to four players, or more via the internet. You get to choose great Mario characters to play, along with many ‘pimped up’ karts and bikes. And the more points you score in different levels, the more karts, bikes, characters and tracks you unlock! For beginners you will start off in the 50cc range of vehicles, and will soon progress up to the 150cc range. You will also be graded on your driving ability. If you are good enough to get into the star class then more treats are unlocked like expert ghost data to battle against, and competitions to get you ‘fired up’.

Succeeded at all levels, Mario Kart Wii is not revolutionary but it has everything to become the darling of fans of the series. Changes in the gameplay are there to expand the heart to target a new audience, including the ability to control a steering wheel. But regulars also will find them, if only for online competitions and renewal provided by the steering motor. More difficult than the last parts of the series, Mario Kart Wii has a challenge worthy of the name and is one of the best exclusives on the console.

Mario Kart for the Wii is expected to be a candidate for Best Game of the Year and will surely win Best Racing game of the year. If you haven’t picked up your copy yet, I would highly recommend ordering now before it’s too late!
